Alzheimer's Otago provides support and advice for those living with Alzheimer's and Dementia in the Otago Region. Alzheimer’s Otago’s services are provided throughout the region and have skilled staff based in Dunedin, Oamaru, Alexandra, Wanaka and Queenstown, who have experiences with dementia and can give any support or advice you might need. While Alzheimer’s Otago’s services are generally done through referrals, you do not need to make one and can make contact directly. Support that can be provided includes, 

  • Providing you with information and education to help you understand dementia.
  • Supporting you in navigating the health system.
  • Giving guidance to help you get prepared for when things change.
  • Providing tips and strategies to manage challenges.
  • Connecting you with programs and other services to help yourself or your loved one.
  • Connecting you with other people living with dementia.
