Special Olympics New Zealand aims to enrich the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through sport.

Special Olympics New Zealand provides a year-round programme of sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Each year more than 6000 athletes train and compete in 13 different Olympic-type summer and winter sports, ranging from swimming, tenpin bowling to snowboarding.

Local clubs give an opportunity for all abilities to come along for either social or competitive sport.
