Carers NZ acts as the national peak body providing information, advice, learning and support for carers in our network.

The primary role of Carers NZ is to ensure awareness about carers, their role, and their needs within New Zealand and internationally. We participate in government reference and working groups and promote the interests of family carers to decision-makers in health, education, employment, social services, housing, transport, and other important areas.

They have a range of support and resources available for those in caring roles, those considering care work and anyone who needs a helping hand. They cover topics such as caring for yourself, supporting someone else and practical planning tools. They can also put you in touch with other carers in your community.

Are you a young carer? They have a dedicated Facebook page for young carers and their support.
