Snapper

Snapper is an electronic payment card that allows users to quickly, easily and cheaply pay for travel on trains and buses in the Wellington region.

If you have a Total Mobility Card or are a client of Blind Low Vision NZ, you are eligible to receive a *75% discount off adult fares when using Snapper.

If you have a Total Mobility Card, you can use this like a Snapper card to pay for travel. If you are a client of Blind Low Vision NZ, you will need to purchase a Snapper card and then apply to have an Accessible concession loaded onto it to access the *75% discount. You can do this by:

• Calling the Snapper helpdesk on 0800 555 345
• Visiting a Snapper Service Centre
• Emailing concession@snapper.co.nz with your Snapper card number and a copy of your Blind Low Vision NZ client card

*Total Mobility Discount will reduce to 65% as of the 1st of July 2026
