Arts Access Aotearoa provide a national advisory and advocacy service about access to the arts. This includes providing information, resources and research through the Information Centre.

The purpose of Arts Access Aotearoa | Putanga Toi ki Aotearoa is to increase access to the arts for people who experience barriers to participation as artists, performers, audience members, and gallery and museum visitors.

It also facilitates a Deaf and disabled artists’ initiative, supporting the artists to create work and develop their creative practice.

They work in the disability, mental health and Deaf communities, as well as the professional arts sector to improve their access to Deaf and disabled audiences.

They facilitate and support Creative Spaces, organisations and places where people who experience barriers to participation can make art, or participate in artistic activities.

Arts Access also provide fellowships to help support people and organistions to make creative works. There are four fellowships worth $10,000 each, to invest in artists' practice and development.
